An engraved panorama of 'London from the South Side of the Thames', from the Supplement to the Illustrated London News, February 9, 1861, uncoloured folding panorama after Thomas Sulman, engraved by Robert Loudan, 430mm x 1300 mm, some tears along folds, spotting and staining generally, together with another copy, having had the margins removed and tape mounted into a card outer folder, the key stuck down (2)
Provenance; The Alan Winning Collection of Antiquarian Maps, Books and Atlases. Beginning in the 1970’s with an interest in the 19th Century development of the railway network and the County Maps of this period that charted it, Alan expanded his academic interest into good early printed maps, town plans, travel guides, books and atlases and has been adding to his collection over the past 50 years.
